Sara is a translational researcher specialising in erythropoiesis and neonatal transfusion, leading the development of cord blood–derived therapies for use in neonatal intensive care. She partners with hospitals across Australia and contributes to international collaborations driving product development. 

 

With a PhD in Experimental Medicine and Oncology and over 15 years’ experience spanning academia and industry, she brings strong expertise in cell biology and therapeutic innovation. Sara serves on the ISBT Clinical Transfusion Working Party (paediatric subgroup) and the ANZSBT Clinical Transfusion Practice Committee, to advance paediatric transfusion care and clinical impact.
