Lauren’s research centres on improving platelet storage, with a focus on advancing platelet cryopreservation. Her work explores innovative strategies to improve the quality and function of stored platelets, with the aim of extending the shelf-life and enhancing access to lifesaving blood products.
She completed her PhD at the University of Technology Sydney, where she investigated novel approaches to improve the safety and quality of cryopreserved platelet components.
